Pravda, eh?

So...this past weekend was amazing in more ways than 1. But just for kicks I'll name the highlights:
1. mywedding.com CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
2. JOHN GETS BACK!!!!!!!
3. John comes to Christmas Party!!!
4. Get to spend time with John!!!!!
Do we see a trend? Oh yes.
The Christmas party took place in Capitol Hill, Seattle at Pravda Studios and it was utterly amazingly stunningly beautiful. Wow. We were all picked up at the ferry in 4 limos (and of course ours was the one that had to get LOST) and delivered to Pravda where Jenn, Larnie and Drew had gotten everything ready. The room was beautifully decorated with sheer curtains and candle lighting. There was a tree in a seating area with hanging candles surrounded by sheer curtains and a table full of prizes for a raffle we had later. I won a Philips Surround Sound System!!
There was a full bar (the alcohol all of which I assisted in buying and transporting back to the office a few days before, go me) and amazing little hors d'oeuvres being handed out by wait staff. It was just great. John arrived a few hours late but not too late to enjoy the evening with everyong (and the caterers even boxed him up a dinner!) But my favorite part of the entire evening...was the photobooth. They had this electronic photobooth that would project the photos you took on the wall and then the next day they posted them on a website that you could download them from. SO fun. I think that was definitely the hit of the night. That and trying to earn prizes. The DJ would give out fake money to everyone to earn raffle tickets. You could earn more money by dancing or just following his directions. It was a blast. Afterward, John and I drove home, crashed, and then got up the next morning to get baptized which was awesome. We had already been baptized but we felt like God was telling us to get baptized again before our wedding as a way to recommit our lives and our relationship to him and keep it focused on the reason we're together. It was a really touching experience and I can't say I didn't tear up a little bit.
Saturday night it SNOWED! And it's been snowy and cold ever since. We've been having power trouble but it's getting resolved today. Hopefully.

I love the idea that you both went to get baptized before your wedding. At first I read it and thought it was funny, the way you wrote it made it sound as if "we woke up and just thought, wouldn't it be great to go get baptized?" Maybe not the fun, spontaneous event I would wake up and plan, lol. But then reading the rest, and why you did it was very heartwarming.
btw, my two cents; I think you should keep the blog going as it is, but just add posts tagged for wedding and your man can post too if he likes. This way, when you look back at your memories, you can peruse through all of them, and not have to go to a different blog to do so, but if you want to narrow your memory search, you can click "wedding" and see all the highlights. I think about all the blogs that people have started for their wedding or pregnancy and then they get dropped shortly thereafter when life settles down and they want to keep all their live's parts together in one central blog.
